How has the week gone. I had a good week. Did indulge @ a mexican restaurant on Saturday. Something has just "clicked" this time around so I'm hoping I can keep it going. I was so scared that I wouldn't have lost anything this week. I hopped on the WW wagon a couple times last year and didn't have success. I gotta admit it was more of a putting my hand on the wagon attempt than actually getting on the wagon. I really got on the wagon this past week so i was gonna get upset if I didnt' lose but guess what? I lost 3.4 lbs this week! I really needed that to keep going. How was ya'lls week? Any good recipes? Any insights?

Congrats Nessia! Thats awesome.
I go in tonight, so Ill report back on the numbers. But I had a pretty good week. Used alot more of my extra points then I would have liked but I didnt go over on Saturday, but otherwise never went over my daily.
I made pernil from skinnytaste.com last night, so for leftovers we are having cuban quesadillas tonight from her site. And I couldnt be more excited. Last week I made the layered mexican chicken recipe of the WW site, and it was very good. And great for left overs. Im making it again later this week.
Great job! That's a great amount to lose in one week. I'm glad you posted this. I tried started WW a couple of months ago but I really didn't stick to it. I knew that I wasn't paying much attention to my diet and exercise over the holidays but it's caught up to me! I weighed Monday and I'm at my heaviest weight ever. (I haven't shared this with anything so it's a little hard for me to share here, too.) I'm really trying to stick to WW this time around.
Also, I know how important exercise is but sometimes I just feel like I don't have enough time in the day. I have a gym membership and DH encourages me to go with him but it's hard to go with I have so much to do at home. Do you work out? What do you do and how do you fit it in to your schedule?
My weigh in days are Tuesday so I'll let you know in a week how it's gone.
Ive had a couple of their bars and they are good. I dont buy them, because then I tend to snack on them more then I should. I do use their smoothie's for breakfast and they are pretty good. I like the vanilla (I add frozen pineapple) and chocolate.
I have been working out a couple days aweek, not to the point that I think it will help my weight loss at this point. Just to help get me moving and release some stress. Im building on it, and doing C25K on the treadmill. Im looking into 5k's for sometime in March/April to have a goal to work towards. It always helps to have a date to look forward to.
I had a very minimal loss this week (.8 lbs).
I am back on the bandwagon and going to bust my butt this week. If it doesn't pay off... so help me....
"The House We Built."
A journey of building the dream.
I was really careful with my points this week and lost only .8 of a pound, so I am feeling discouraged.
I tried two WW recipes this week. One was the feta-stuffed chicken burgers and we liked them a lot (and DH is constantly saying that he is tired of chicken). The recipe says to put whole olives on top, but I was not about to mess with that, so I just used a tiny bit of olive tapenade instead. It was really good and I did not miss having a slab of cheese on top of the burger.
I also made the slow-cooker turkey and white bean chili and I think it is really good and makes tasty leftovers. Both of those recipes are 7 pts. per serving, although I put the chili on top of baked Tostitos, so that ups it by a couple of points.
Thank you! I know you are totally right - this is not a quick diet. My meeting leader reminded us today to trust the program. I think I am mostly discouraged because of the time and energy I've put into my food intake... for seemingly little payoff. But I am going to stick with it because some loss is better than none.
This helped me a lot too. I'm not doing really well, but hey, I'm trying and that's better than not doing jack right? I'm kinda sitting still, not moving much. Still 30 pounds to go...
