What's the story on your earballs?  Any definitive dx?  Or just more questions?

Re: Alzihippo

  • Nope - officially diagnosed with Meniere's disease in my left ear, which is what I suspected from day 1. There is no way to predict when another episode will hit, and whether it will be the same or worse next time......so while it is a relief to be sure, I'll have to just roll with it....

    Thanks for asking:)

  • Sorry to butt in, but I'm glad to hear you have some definite answers. I don't know anything about the disease, but I hope your episodes are few and far between.

Well Ali, that's good news and bad news to get a diagnosis.  I am sorry to hear it was confirmed to be Meniere's disease.  I googled what it was and I hope you only suffer mild symptoms and the disease is manageable for you.

  • Thank you everyone:) I was "lucky" in the sense that my first episode did not include vertigo, which is the most debilitating symptom...though the rest are pretty miserable. I am positive about it though - at least it is only temporary and then goes away!
