Charlotte Nesties
DH just got a job in Charlotte and we'll be relocating there on Feb 1. Since we're moving from VA, we'll need to find all new everything so I'm hoping someone can give me some recs on the following:
-Family practice Dr.
-OB/GYN
-Dentist
-Hair stylist / salon
-Vet
-Groomer
-Dog boarding
Any suggestions would be so helpful. Thanks!

not saying my recs will be near you, but here they are anyways
-Family practice Dr. - Dr. Carmen Teagues at Mecklenburg Medical Group (uptown in the BB&T building)
-OB/GYN - Dr. Phillip Solomon at Carmel OB/GYN (across from Blakeney Shopping Center in South Charlotte)
-Dentist - Ballantyne Center for Dentistry (Dr. Yaste)
-Vet - Piper Glenn Animal Hospital
-Dog boarding - Metro Paws on S. Tryon (they do doggie daycare too)
Welcome to the area! We moved here from Massachusetts a few months ago so I don't have lots of recs for you (I actually came on tonight to ask about doctors in our area). I live in Matthews on the Matthews/Charlotte line and my DH works about 5 minutes from the airport. Maybe we'll end up living somewhat near each other.
I found a salon I really like (and I'm picky) in Matthews called Fusions. Here's their website: http://fusionssalon.com There's lots of info on there about what they offer.
We take our puppy to Matthews Animal Clinic. It's our first pet so we don't have much vet experience otherwise but it's nice, fairly inexpensive and the doctors/staff are all great.
-Family practice Dr. -- Dr. Marvin Dair Mecklenburg Medical Group - I've seen Dr. Teague and she's good as well.
-Dentist - Dr. David Jones (Cotswold area)
-Hair stylist / salon - Varji and Varji - I see Jade but all of thier stylists are good. They have two locations, one in south park and one uptown area in Dilworth
-Vet - Long Animal Hospital off South Blvd. great vets, they always follow-up and call me after out appts. I've never had anyone do this before.
-Groomer - Golden dog has never been to a groomer
but I know Long does grooming and boarding.
