Levi had some reddish spots on his legs this lastnight and this morning. I put his eczema cream on it thinking that's what it was.
My sitter just called me at work. She said his arms are covered in red spots..and that she just went in and woke him, he's been sleeping since DH dropped him off at 6:30. She said it looks like Fifth's disease to her. Her boys had it before that's how she knows what it looks like.
I called the drs. They asked if he had a fever, I said no, but then remembered that Sunday night he woke up around midnight with a fever of 103.2. I had given him some Motrin and put him in a lukewarm bath and within a 1/2 hour it went down to 101.1, so I wasn't as worried...and then it broke before morning so I didn't think anything of it. The nurse said that was probably the start of the Fifth's disease...but luckily that means that was the contagious part and it's mostly run it's course now.
I did schedule him an appointment for today though just to get him checked. I just feel like I'm being "that mom" that has their kid at the doctor's office every other week for a sniffle!
Poor Levi can't get a break....and today is his 9 month birthday!
Re: Crap....
Aww. Poor guy. I had this in 9th grade. I'm weird.
I'm sure he'll be feeling better in no time, and 'tis the season for frequent doctor's visits. At least you're not at the ER every other day.
Thanks everyone for the well wishes for him. He has been acting fine and from what I read, the rash comes at the end, so hopefully it's over.
I can't believe he is 9 months already either!
