I am going to be a single wife next week!! Need ideas
What should I do to keep myself busy (besides work???)
I rarely watch TV these days (which is good) and hockey is p!ssing me off, so I need something to do in the evenings.
I would love to make or bake some things DH would not normally like (or does like but keep to myself!
)

Re: I am going to be a single wife next week!! Need ideas
When I'm on my own, I'm kind of lazy.
But I always think that I will scrapbook, clean out closets and eat raw cookie dough. When I'm in a gym groove, I'll head there in the evenings and not worry about how long my workout is. I also shop.
Maybe I'm not such a good influence.
I think you are on to something...I may go to some evening classes that I normally would not b/c DH is @ home.
I know it sounds terrible, but I would LOVE a week on my own right now, lol.
If it were me...I'd go to the gym, clean my house without any interruptions/distractions, scrapbook, read, make some meals for the freezer, crochet, catch up on Netflix and my dvr, sleep in the middle of the bed, go out to happy hour and/or dinner with friends, clean my closet/dresser. Geez, I think I need a month on my own to get that all accomplished, lol.
Whatever you do, HAVE FUN and ENJOY!!!
Thanks! I plan to organize our closet and that I mean, donate half of DH's clothes he has not worn in over 6 mos :-). He will never know!
Since H started working swing shift I have my evenings all to myself. I've started working out, baking, and visiting my parents to keep me busy.
I've been wanting to go to the library to check out some books and perhaps stop by the Outlets to do some browsing.
My H is gone a lot, and I always dig into a show I love that he doesn't, spend loooong hours at the gym, play silly games and waste time online without feeling guilty, make the meals I want that he's not so thrilled about, and enjoy sleeping in the middle of the bed without him stealing the blankets all night.
If I had girlfriends here who were into this kind of thing, I'd have a fun girls' night too. *sigh*
Enjoy!
