Man, my life seems crazy lately. I miss you guys!
2 kids, suddenly picked up 8 invite orders out of nowhere, and a very sick step dad in ICU.... not enough hours or sanity or hands.
When does life slow down? I miss being not busy.

Man, my step dad... so scary!
My mom found him unresponsive in his bed last Friday. He had been sick, she was planning on taking him to the doctor's that day because they thought he might have pneumonia. The dog started flipping out and woke her up and that's when she found him gurggling and bluish white in color. She called 911 because she couldn't get him to come to and they rushed him over to the hospital. I don't even know where to start....
He has cancer and has been going through radiation and has been pretty shitty health wise for awhile.... He see like a million doctors and really just can't seem to catch a break. I guess what ended up happening that night/morning was he threw up in his sleep and he aspirated the vomit. That alone is bad.... but, I guess there was a whole hell of a lot of other stuff going down that they didn't know about. His toxicity levels in his body were crazy high, his kidneys had shut down and all that waste was backing up into his system. His blood pressure was 80/30. Because of the vomit he has bacterial pneumonia....They pumped out 6lbs of fluid from his lungs yesterday. We just found out today that his pancreas is shutting down.
Sh!t is bad. I haven't even listed everything...
So, anyway... I've been with her for awhile. I came home the night of the storm to regroup. His entire family is there, he's one of 11 kids, and they're all insane. They've wanted to pull the plug all week without giving him a chance to fight. It's just crazy.
I feel so bad for my mother. So, scary.... I'm worried for her, for the long term effects of all this if he even pulls out of it. I know "in sickness and in health"... but, I would hate to see her have to play nursemaid for the rest of his life. And I feel shitty for that line of thought too.... Gah.
Moral of the story.

I think it was in really poor taste for you to thunderjack my baby picture thread with depressing stories about your stepdad. Gah, Hezz, you're such a jerk!
Your kids are super adorable, but holy hell, what a scary experience for your stepdad! I hope his familiy members can keep their hands away from his plugs long enough for him to decide to fight it out or not. My thoughts are with your family. What an awful situation for everybody involved.

I'm sorry that your kids are cute. I mean I'm sorry that your stepdad doesn't know that some holes are in holes and some holes are out holes, but sometimes the in hole can be used as an out hole. I mean, I'm sorry that you and your mom are going through this and your kids are still cute. There, I said it.
