So I said that we weren't going to make a really big fuss. I was thinking we'd end up with 2 or 3 couples/families coming over, but we have 17 for sures (includes adults, kids, babies) and 8 maybes. It's going to be a bigger fuss than I intended. But, who knows if we'll be in the US for his birthday again? Not that he'll have any idea, but at least we can tell him that all of these people celebrated his first birthday with him in Texas.
No way will they all fit in our apartment, so we're renting the party room at our apartment office.
We're decorating with blue balloons and about 150 barrel-of-monkeys monkeys, which is 13 barrels. We're eating lunch and cupcakes. I'll have pictures of him throughout the year and his first year journal for perusal. No games, unless someone wants to play barrel of monkeys. Looks like I'll be cooking most of tomorrow, though I could start tonight... I've never cooked for this many people before.
