so tell us about the nursery. what colors are you using? do you have bedding picked out?
Re: bev
Well, I don't really have a theme. We're not using a bedding set because I really like the simple look of a colored sheet and a bed skirt, with just a blanket draped over the side or something.
The wall color is Sherwin Willaims Slate Tile (below). All of the furniture is "espresso" (really dark brown). My sister is going to make the curtains, crib skirt, and rocking chair pad covers. The fabric we picked out for the curtains and crib skirt is an argyle print - dark brown background with a red, yellow, and green argyle pattern. The rocking chair cover will be solid yellow, because I thought the argyle pattern would be too busy for that, and the yellow matches the yellow in the curtains.
I am making most of the wall hangings. I bought some canvases and have drawn and colored (with sharpies) some cute pictures (mostly zoo animals and such, but NO monkeys, because I'm scared of them haha) to hang. I got a mirror that we just re-finished, and the frame is painted Clemson orange. It will go over the changing table. Also going to hang some letters to spell out James' name over his crib - they will also be Clemson orange.
So that's about it. Probably sounds like WAY too much going on, but I promise it's not haha. The furniture, wall color, and argyle fabric are all very toned down and "calming," so the orange and yellow accents will add a nice brightness to the room. I will post some pics soon!

I think I'm picturing it all together. haha. Sounds good to me! I really like the paint color you're using.
That's great your sister can sew and is helping you make all of those things. I'm hoping MIL can do that for us. Being able to choose your own fabric really opens up the possibilities of what you can do.
You'll have to post pictures once it's finished!
