Command picture strips? Experience anyone?
So I'm doing a photo collage thingy in our hallway. Our walls are old plaster, so originally we planned on hanging them on picture wire from the moulding. Ross mentioned Command, and I knew they do hooks, but I've only seen/used the heavy duty ones. They do picture ones too, but I'm not sure what to get, if they work, etc.
Here's the plan (this is pre frames, and they're just taped to the wall, I wanted to live with the idea for a week or so before I put the rest of the effort into it).

The frames I bought (clearance, at BB&B two 4packs for $15 each!!!) have razor hangers included, but they're not attached (I'd have to attach them with tiny nails, something I'd rather not do).
I also want to hang a heavier piece, also on plaster. It's long and heavy-ish, it's our last name in nature/object pictures), and has razor hangers already attached. I wonder if I should buy separate razor hooks (though I think they might stick out of the top, they look long, and the razor hooks are at the top of the back of the frame), or if I should take the razors off, and just use extra picture strips?

It looks like they're 8x10 pics, am I right?
Depending on the material of the frame, I'd go for the photostrips.
I have a ton of wood 4x6 frames held and actually they're so light I have them hanging with the half sized (I cut in half) Command velcro strips (so one piece stuck on frame and one on wall). I believe the velcro and photo are two diff types, but I like them.
In my expereince, definitely go with the Command brand. I've used cheaper brands in the past and when I took them off the wall, they took the paint off with them. Whoops!

We have plaster walls too, it totally sucks to hang ANYTHING!
We hung a really heavy picture (it was actually a very old window we put pictures in) and we used anchors for it. I think the kind we used are called toggle anchors. They actually worked pretty well and we didn't wreck the wall beyond the anchor holes. We took them out and replastered the wall when we painted and it wasn't too difficult.
Another tip for plaster walls if you want to nail a picture up: tape (masking tape works) the spot where you want the nail, the wall won't chip like crazy around the nail hole.
That's really clever! I like that.
They're 11x14 frames, but they're really light.

oooooohhh.....I've NEVER had to deal with plaster walls in my life, and this sort of thing would have never crossed my mind. The house we just bought does have plaster walls.
So thank you to the ladies that posted up solutions. I probably would have just grabbed the command frame hooks, or nails and made a mess....and DH would have killed me.
