Did anyone else read about the changing of your astrological sign? Because the signs were made over 2200 years ago the sky has changed and apparently so have the signs that go with them. My sign has changed from Aquarius to Capricorn. I've always been on the cusp so I would read both horoscopes and traits and I've always felt that I have traits from both signs so it doesn't really bother me but some people are stark raving mad about it. Also, the possibility of adding a 13th sign? So odd!

Yeah I know someone with a scorpio tattoo because of their sign. I texted him today about it and he said he's not a $(#@ libra and that this new stuff was BS. Then he asked if this was legit (being a science teacher he wanted to know if I thought it was scientific). I think the entire thing is funny.
The reason for this is the wobble effect the earth has. Because the earth is no longer pointing at the same star Polaris as the north star, the constellations have changed as to when they appear in the sky. This has taken 1,000's of years if not more to change. It's not something that happened overnight. That's why this entire thing makes me laugh. It's not like you wake up and one day your sign has changed. I guess people are saying that it officially changed in 2009 so anyone born after that time will have these new dates to determine their sign but I feel the date is arbitrary because it's been a slow process to even get to the point we are at today. I can only imagine if this discussion were brought up in the 60's!
