I confess that dear Aunt Flo paid me a visit yesterday and I am actually really kinda sad. DH and I decided to stop trying to not get pregnant after my last cycle and while we weren't all gung ho about things and agreed that we weren't really "trying" to get pregnant, just not worrying about it if we did, I guess I had sorta held out some tiny glimmer of hope that we'd get pregnant this go round and we'd be on our way. Is that weird? I mean, how do I get to be disappointed about something that didn't happen when we weren't really trying for it with any real effort in the first place? I know that the process can take a long time and I'm not naive enough to think that we're some sort of super fertiles or something but still, I guess I wanted it more than I initially thought I did.
Re: Confessions/vents/aw?
I'm venting that DH's truck has been in the shop for 2 weeks now. We took it in 2 months ago to get the 4WD fixed and it didn't work so the next time he had off was the end of December. So far they can't figure out the problem but yet we have to pay for all the parts they have been exchanging out. It went from $600 when we dropped it off to $1300 as of today and they haven't even figured out the problem.
I'm waiting for DH to get home so we can go and personally pay them a visit and see what THEY will do for US!
I confess we've gotten about 40cm of snow and it's ben -24 for the last 3 days or so and I want more!!! MORE I TELL YOU! I love snow especially while it's snowing. I reminds me so much of going sledding and tobogganing when I was little. It's also so cozy in our place. Mind you being Canadian means that when it's freezing and blizzard like you still go about your errands like it's a normal day. I love it.
I also confess I can not stop playing COD Black Ops especially since it's co-op and I can play with the Mr and we can be a team of blood thirsty soilders instead of passing the one controller back and forth. It's a huge time suck but I'm hooked, what can I say.
Vent here. I am so sick of mopping floors weekly because of wet sloppy paws!! I love the snow a lot, but a 95+ lb. dog does a lot of tracking. Although, I can't imagine what it would be like if we had carpet throughout our house. Cleaning hardwood > cleaning carpets, right?
My vent is similar in theme... I am getting really exasperated that it is taking us soooo long to get pregnant! We have been vehemently trying (temping, charting, peeing on lots of sticks, diet changes, no caffeine, etc.) for a year now with absolutely no luck. We see an RE (Reproductive Endocrinologist) on the 26th. Eager is a mild word to describe my wanting to get some answers and get this show on the road. I'll be 35 this year so the clock is a-tickin'!
