  • Um, it wasn't a great week for me.

    That said, yoga class on Monday was great!  I stepped up to a more advanced class, which I was kind of nervous about, but it went really well.  I left feeling awesome -- mind and body.

  • My husband has been doing a great job of keeping the kitchen clean!  As soon as he gets home he picks up the kitchen and does any dishes in the sink before dinner, and then does all the dishes after dinner.  It's wonderful!

  • Made me feel great: Ordered some shelves for organization in the basement! Oh, and ran home (4.5mi) from the shop where I dropped off my car to be worked on.

    Pretty cool: DH doesn't have to travel for work next week as previously thought!

    Yay!  Are you still at Cascade?   I love that peaceful mind feeling after a great yoga session. . . which leads to part one of my answer:

    1. I started up yoga again, and it felt so good.  I was a bit nervous because I chose not to do prenatal yoga, but the class was great. 

    2. I think, just maybe, I might have felt the baby move this week!  I know it is early, but well I am pretty in tune to the feelings and sensation in my gut and what I felt the other day felt like nothing I have felt before.  I was just laying there, and all the sudden I felt this light tickling, like a goldfish was swimming around.  And as soon as I realized what it might be it disappeared.

  • My husband has been working on his Master's thesis for months (and months and months).  He's been working hard, and is doing a great job on it. 

    Yesterday he came home and told me that it's done!  I'm really proud of him for finishing this huge project.  I've shared here that Mr. T. sometimes has some focus problems.  He did a bunch of research in the field of sports sponsorhip marketing, where there isn't a lot of academic history.

    I'm also feeling accomplished with the end of this task: it's taken a lot of weekends at my parents or a few hours here and there of me with the kids so he could be home and working on the paper.

    !!  That is early, but it's a pretty right on description of movement.  YAY!

  • It's been a rough couple weeks, so this thread is good for me.  Reminds me to focus on the good amidst the bad.

    I think the best thing that happened this week was my husband.  He's been doing a lot of work around the house - the treadmill has been acting up so he's been tooling with it, he installed new blinds, he made crepes for dinner one night, he snow blew the driveway, he walked the guys after work each night - which helps ease my stress.  In general he's just been making me feel better when I've been blue.

  • I found out that I might be/should be up for a promotion (finally!).  I have to interview for it when it gets approved, but it shouldn't be a problem since I'm doing the work anyway.

  • We unexpectedly bought tickets to Hawaii. Big Smile

    Yes, we've had the travel bank account savings sitting there for pretty much this exact reason for a couple years....but it was still quite unexpected to actually do it.

  • I had a pretty good week at work. I'll spare you all the boring details, but basically I feel like I am starting to make some forward progress with my new role. I also took a step in the law school process that I had been dreading. And tomorrow morning we take off to Phoenix for a few days of sunshine!
  • I've been working out every day before work instead of just cramming in a run or workout whenever I could fit it.  I'm kind of proud of myself for sticking to my schedule, mostly because it means that I'm consistently taking the time to do something that's just for me.
