Some my husband and I are coming to NC this weekend for a Duke game. I have a room booked at the Marriott Downtown. How is this area...are we ok with this hotel or should be find one in the Chapel Hill area? We are only coming for the weekend. We would like to walk around Chapel Hill and have dinner there on Saturday other than that and the game we don't have anything else planned.
Does anyone know if we can bring our rental car on campus. I wasn't sure how that works since we aren't students there.
Any info would be helpful!! Thanks
ps...how is the weather down there and the roads. I know you guys got snow and ice earlier this week. We just got snow up here in Jersey.
Re: NJ Nestie visiting Duke Area - have some ???
I can really only answer the question about the roads. They are fine now. Most all of the ice has melted, so I wouldn't worry at all about that!
I'm not too familiar with the Chapel Hill area, so I'll let some other nesties answer those questions. But I would think you should be able to drive around on campus. Normally there are visitor parking spots (or even lots) and there should definitely be parking for the game.
I think you will be fine at the Marriott, I do not think you need to go all the way over to Chapel Hill for a hotel.
You can bring a car onto campus at Duke. There is a parking deck next to the student center that visitors are allowed to park in. It is a pretty easy walk to Cameron from there.
