Thoughts about the "new" zodiac signs?

My "new" sign is a 180 for me... totally off.

Re: Thoughts about the "new" zodiac signs?

  • Apparently it isn't true.

  • I've never been into horoscopes, so honestly I find the whole thing pretty annoying. Everybody and their mother is posting about it on FB.

  • I also thought I saw Paige mention it only applies to people born after 2009? Either way, it was interesting to compare the "new me"... but boy was it wrong.

  • I am disappointed I might not be a libra anymore, but to be honest, I don't even know what characteristics Libras and Virgos even have, so really, I'm not concerned. I don't really believe in zodiac signs anyway.

Although, I feel for anyone who has the new sign. GL pronouncing that!

  • This is NOT going to be good for the oldest pickup line, "Hey baby, what's your sign?" It's a good thing I'm married because I just don't know how to answer that question anymore.

    Apparently it isn't true.

This.  It seems to be a bit of a misunderstanding:

But before astrology fans scrape the ink from their arms because they think they're now a Virgo instead of a Libra, they should consider this: If they adhered to the tropical zodiac - which, if they're a Westerner, they probably did ? absolutely nothing has changed for them.

That's worth rephrasing: If you considered yourself a Cancer under the tropical zodiac last week, you're still a Cancer under the same zodiac this week.

That's because the tropical zodiac ? which is fixed to seasons, and which Western astrology adheres to ? differs from the sidereal zodiac ? which is fixed to constellations and is followed more in the East, and is the type of zodiac to which the Star Tribune article ultimately refers.
