For fun: What are you favorite baby names for future kids? Or ficticious future kids if you are undecided if you are having any or any additional kids.
Boy:
Girl:
PS. None of this I would have to see the baby first even though that's what I had to do with B. If you had your baby in your hands right now and they wouldn't let you leave the hospital without naming the baby.
Re: Can we talk baby names?
Boy: probably Duncan Peter (Duncan after my favorite bklackhawks player but only becase I like the name, Peter after Jeff Uncle that died just before our wedding.)
Girl: Ryleigh (or Rylee) Duncan
Since my plan is to only have 1 more they wouldn't have the same name.

Eli Rich is the obvious choice for a boy, since that will be Baby D's name.
If we eventually have a girl, we will name her Sydney, after Sydney, Australia where we met.
2012 Reading Challenge
Oh I have a bunch!
Boy:

Nathaniel
Evan
Owen
Jacob
Girl:
Samantha Danielle
Lydia
Grace
Hannah
Sophia
Mackenzy
Delaney
Mallory
Leah

Boy: Aidan Thomas (Thomas after my dad) I know RC won't let me have Aidan though. But if I was naming him, thats what it would be!
Girl: Kyra Jean
Girl - Emma Lynn
Boy - I have no idea...we had such a hard time coming up with Josh....I've always liked William, Wyatt, Parker, Nathan, or Connor.
Girl: First or Middle will have to be Pearl - M thinks Pearl is not a good first name
Colleen (but not Collen Pearl, b/c M thinks our child would be made fun of)
And no boy names... b/c we disagree. I guess the only thing we have solid is Pearl... hum... this might be interesting some day.
Boy: Jayden Robert (I love the name Jayden, and Robert after my dad)
Girl: Evelyn Meredith or Meredith Evelyn (haven't decided which variation I like better, but I love both names
)
I also love the name Betty....not as a nick name or short for anything, just Betty. It's my grandma's name and have considered using it.
Uh, been there. Except it wasn't that we couldn't leave, they just wouldn't have filed the paperwork (for free) for us.
Girl: Hadley
Boy: I still like Benjamin (the other name we were trying to decide between)
2012 Reading Challenge
Boy: Cole Thomas (Thomas after my dad who passed when I was 3). I was amazed at how quickly we agreed on this. This will be shelved for now and hopefully number 2 will be a boy since that is all we plan on having.
Girl: We are having a terrible time with this one. We are pretty sure that her middle name will be Catherine, it is a family name for both of us. FN though is tough, I love Emma but I worry about how popular it is right now. I also love Sophie but DH isn't sold on it. He like Elizabeth but I hate all the nn for this so I have vetoed.
2012 Reading Challenge
Boy: Jack Clayton, Simon Patrick
Girl: Catherine (MN undecided) , Samantha Jane
Boy: Jacob Nelson, we're going to stick with the J first names and Nelson is my grandfather's last name (my dad's parents weren't married) and it's my father's middle name and I want to keep that name alive.
Girl: I'm not a really great fan of girl J names but the middle has to be Dawn
so I hope we have a boy.
Books read in 2011: 111
Books read in 2012: 100
my read shelf:
My friend's daughter's name is Alexis Catherine. I think that is a very pretty name and it flows nicely. A co-worker of mine just had a granddaughter and her name is Alexa. So Alexa Catherine would be very pretty too.
Boy: I really like Noah but since we have Norah I don't think Noah will make the list anymore. The one thing we do know is that the MN will be Ross, it is a family thing for Craig. We had the boys names narrowed down to 7 names when we got to the hospital so it will be fun if the next one is a boy.
Girl: Ruby Jeanette (I personally like Ruby Sophia better, but Jeanette is a family name from Craig's side, since Ruby was my paternal grandmothers name I figured we should go with Craig's grandma's name too.) Norah's name, Norah Elizabeth, is a combination of my maternal grandmother (Elenora) and Craig's mom (Elizabeth).
baby names! one of my favorite subjects!
We were actually talking about names the other day. Our boy names for the longest time have been Connor and Jack. I slightly prefer Jack over Connor, but T is convincing me that Connor should be first because it goes better with our middle name choice, David (after my dad). And since it's way more important to me to use David, T will probably win this one. So second on the list would be Jack Robert (Robert after T's grandpa).
For girls, I love Abigail (Abby) but it's so popular. I also love Mia. For now, I think Mia Virginia (after my granny) is the girl name we agree on. Like David, Virginia is a MUST for the middle name.
Boy: Ian, Evan, Simon Alexander, or Ethan
Girl: Maya, Michaela were our other girl names...BUT, we have already decided that we can't use another "M" name ending with an "a" so these are no longer possibilities. We have to start from scratch with girl names. I love my grandmother's name, Catherine, so I'm sure we'll incorporate that somehow.
Our current top names if a baby was dropped into our arms this second:
Boy: We want the first or middle name to be John after DH's late father. We both really like the name Jack, so I've considered the idea of naming him John Daniel (Daniel after my late grandfather) but calling him Jack. I don't know if that would be weird.
Girl: Samantha Elizabeth (I'm pretty sure whatever we choose for the 1st name the middle name will be Elizabeth because it is my mom's middle name, DH's sister's name, and the name of my childhood church.)
Our names have been picked:
Boy: John Anthony (after DH's grandfather)
Girl: Elizabeth Rose (FN is after my mom and MN is after her love of roses)
Other names:
DH loves the name Cypress but I can not wrap my head around as to why he likes that.
Girl: Alexia, Eva, Johannah
Boy: Patrick, Josh or Josiah
My top girl name is Kendall Evelyn and my top boy name is Easton Jon
the rest of my list:
Girls- Kali (with mn Jade), Gwyneth, Reese, Kensley, Charlotte, Brynn, Libby
Boys- Keagan, Kellan, Cormick, Brody
Ooo fun! DH and I talk about this all the time!
For boys:
Logan William - Logan, cuz DH looooves comic books and Wolverine is one of his faves! Silly, yes, but I do like the name, and William was my grandfather's name
and
Connor Pattrick - DH loves the Scottish-like names and this fit, and Pattrick was his grandfather's name
For girls:
Mackenna Abigail - again with the Celtic-like names, and my Abigail is a derivation of a family name, Gail.
and we just heard the name Kelti (thanks to the girl on the Bachelor! Haha!) and really like it. DH thinks it sounds Celtic, and I just think it's pretty. No middle name to go with that one.
Boy: 1st names: Oliver, Oscar (maybe)- both are family names.
Middle Names: William or Thomas, maybe John (all are family names), maybe my maiden name as middle name.
Girl: I've liked Libby for awhile. Just Libby, not short for anything. I am also liking Miriam lately, don't ask.
ETA: I forgot one of my fave girl names. Kate, Just plain Kate. Love it.
Middle name will be Karalynn or Caralynn, after Brian's twin sister who died at birth. Not sure if her first name was spelled with a K or C, but we'll combine her 1st and middle name.
Blog
I love reading these!!!
Girl: Marcella Jane --- but, if you know my last name, DH keeps saying it sounds like an Italian dish. I like Marissa Jane as well. Jane will be the middle name after my grandmother's middle name.
Boy: This is tricky! DH is Joseph Alva R--- IV. There is NO way I am continuing that tradition. I absolutely hate junior, and I think III and IV is just ridiculous. No way I am extending that to V. Instead, I think it would be neat to tie in one of the names as the middle name. I love Gavin Joseph or Gavin Alva. I don't have many boy names in mind, but I really want to have sons, so I may have issues down the road
