Sex on period
Does anyone regularly have sex while on their period? My H and I have never done this but are considering it. I've read that there is a higher risk of infection. Has anyone had any problems as a result? Also how do you keep the mess to a minimum? How do you remove your pad without killing the mood while getting busy? Just looking for some advice as this is all new to me.

We always do and have never had a problem. I don't have crazy heavy periods and might avoid uber heavy days if you have them but really period sex is great! I find I'm more sensitive and find it easier to climax.
We don't do the whole towel underneath us or sex in the shower that some people tend to do on their periods for us the only difference really is that we use a condom during my period (at least when it's a little heavier to make clean up easier for H. and we do less position change ups (when we do change positions we don't pull out and that way it's not as messy) and usually I don't go on top during my period.
We'll be making out and when we start getting a little hot and heavy (he starts taking my or his clothes off) I let him know that I'll be right back and that he should get out a condom, I go to the washroom and take out the tampon (or pad in your case) and then come back to the room either naked or in my underwear and voila ready to continue the foreplay and get to the sessy time! At the end just have him pull out slowly, he goes to the washroom, discards the condom and grabs a couple kleenex and gives them to me so I can clean up a bit and get to the washroom where I can finish any cleanup and then come back out to cuddle:)
Try it, it's really not so messy, H hardly notices, he just says I feel wetter but he doesn't really see much, even during cleanup.
I've only done this a few times - I'm always really horny when I'm on my period, even if I feel gross. One thing I learned is that there are certain positions that are messier - anything with you on top or with your legs up. Shower is always a good option too.
We have sex every day, period or not. We have a set of coffee-colored sheets and a set of black towels used exclusively for this purpose. It's easiet to just throw down a towel, clean ourselves up with said towel and then throw it in the washer. I don't bother to be discreet about taking out my Diva Cup. H isn't phased by my period at all so it isn't an issue.
I haven't heard that period sex can up the risk of infection. If this is the case, I've never had a problem with it. Just make sure to pee afterwards (you should always do this anyway).
Give it a try and see if you like it, or try it in the shower first to test the waters. GL.
Basically Dito, minus the condom..Ive never had any problems with it. The only thing I would say is that we try to keep it to lighter days. We also put a towel down underneath just in case. A lot of times we dont even end up needing it.
