Sorry this is late, but my 3G connection on my phone was HORRIBLE yesterday so my laptop was an expensive paperweight.... 
Anyway...here is the look I am going for....

Now, here is the cut. She did not have time for a color, so I go back on Tuesday for some highlights and lowlights put in. Will update with new pics Wednesday morning. But here is the cut so far. If we need to adjust it some after the color, we will. (yes, that is a look of what the he@# did I just do!!)

I agree. You look great! Can't wait to see it with the new colors :-)
I completely agree that you could go shorter. I think you will like the cut more, and for longer, if you go shorter and add more layers.
the lowlights (i don't really think it's possible for your hair to get any lighter) will add a lot of dimension and make the cut look even better.
it's a good start. don't be afraid, go for it! a fresh, new look is energizing!
