Relocation to South Tampa
Hi Ladies, My DH and I are going to be relocating to the Tampa area soon. Can anyone recommended some good area's to look for apartments/homes? We are moving for his job and the territory is Tampa south so I'm guessing we'd need to live someplace between the south part of Tampa and Sarasota. I'd like to know of some nice towns or areas to look in that are safe and family friendly that we can rent in for a little bit then buy our next house. Also what areas have good school districts since we have to put that into consideration for the future as well.
Thanks for any info you can give.
Re: Relocation to South Tampa
I do not know too much about South Tampa but H and I used to live in an area of South Tampa called Beach Park and we really liked it. We have a 2BR/1BA condo for rent in a gated community with a pool, gym, and clubhouse, located across from Westshore Plaza and close to the interstate -- just thought I would put that out there
GL on the move!
Unless you want to drive over an hour to work, I wouldnt go to Sarasota. I grew up in South Tampa (Palma Ceia area). South Tampa can be kinda pricey. Brandon/Riverview area is a lot closer then Sarasota and you get a lot for your money.
I know a good amount about s.tpa so if you ever want to post a zip code I can tell you what to expect in that area,
When H and I rented, we lived in a condo complex called Grand Key in South Tampa. We loooved it, it had great amenities like a gym and awesome pool, and our place had huge walk in closets and a beautiful kitchen. Since it was condos, it just felt nicer to me. They have rentals posted on yahoo and craigslist, etc. Some of my friends live in Post Hyde Park which is a nice apartment complex in south tampa and they really love it. I definitely would live in south tampa over sarasota if you are young and new to the area becauswe there is just more to do and more younger people. And yes, pp is right, they are almost an hour from one another.
