Has anyone else heard/done the pennies in a jar for every time you have sex? One of DH's friends told us about it the weekend we got married. He said to put a penny in a jar every time you have sex in the first year and then take one out every time you have sex starting in your second year. The friend said the legend he heard was that you will never have the jar be empty because apparently you have sex more in the first year than the rest of your marriage. It's become kind of a challenge for us to empty the jar, hopefully in this year lol.
I hadn't seen a post on this so I thought I'd share it and see what my fellow Nestie's have to say!
I would like to request though that everyone please be respectful even if you don't like a specific post/er. I've seen a lot of nasty arguments that are just pointless and make my reading less enjoyable. Thanks!
Re: Penny jar
you can request all you want, but that doesn't mean anyone has to listen.
we've been living together for 3 yrs, so we did not have more sex our first married year. that just adds to the whole idea that newlyweds are effing like rabbits, which then makes those that aren't having that all freaked out bc they aren't fitting the stereotype, so to speak. lame.

On the surface it's kind of fun, but ultimately I think it's a little negative.
I'd change it up, every time you have sex put in a quarter. At the end of the first year, empty it and get a total... then try to beat it every successive year. Maybe also vow to only use the collected fund for something for you two- toys, lingerie, stay in a hotel, etc.
Are you serious???
thats my point though-not all do. at least once every couple of weeks someone posts about being a newlywed, having waited for their wedding night, and being really upset because they arent effing like rabbits thinking something is wrong with them. we're about due for one of those posts.
Aww, you're cute! Well, whatever we can do to make your reading enjoyable. :::pats kmkreu on the head:::

Bwah...you aren't serious are you?
I actually like the arguments, it makes it much more interesting and enjoyable to me. So, keep them coming girls. Thanks!
I feel like FI and I would run out of dollars, quarters, dimes, or pennies. It's a good idea, but I doubt we could keep the money that long.
ps I usually post on theknot and stumbled upon the nest recently.
Ditto this shizz.
