Another birth control pill question

Hi all!

I'm currently on Loestrin 24 and I started the pack a day late and then missed two pills in the first week.  (This was this past week).

My question is, if I were to ovulate, is there any way to know when it would happen?  Trying to see if there is a way to know when to "be careful"

Thank you in advance!

Re: Another birth control pill question

  • Do you really want to leave this to an internet message board?  Call your pharmacist or the doctor who prescribed it for you.
  • Call your doctor and use back up bc in the interim.

  • No, there's not. Read the insert that came with your pills to see how long you have to use condoms or abstain for.

  • You essentially missed three pills. "Three strikes - you're out." You really need to start a new pack and use a back-up method (e.g. condoms) for at least 29 days to be safe. You will be more likely to spot/have breakthrough bleeding in the next few weeks.
