How was the shooting range?
DH wants me to learn how to shoot...and he also wants his conceal and carry - but I don't know how I feel about that. He says because soon he'll be needing to go into work at all different shift times, and his work is in a not so good neighborhood (think behind the old Libbey High School). I felt nervous driving there during the day, and couldn't imagine going there in the middle of the night.
I didn't grow up around guns or hunting or anything, so they make me a little nervous. My dad has started a nice little collection for himself recently, which is part of what's put the ideas into DH's head. We'll probably go with my dad to the range one of these days.
Re: Angi
It was good. I'm still not sure how I feel about it. I def. don't feel like "OMG! I cant wait to go back." But I know what I am doing, know how to load, ***, aim, shoot and release the clip.
I think b/c the indoor range was so small and there were people right next to me firing a gun at the same time it took away from my focus. Also, I have really tiny hands and I think if I had the compact version of the gun have, it might be better. I fired three clips and my hand hurt.
In regard to D getting a C&C working where he is, I would def. do it!
Oh, I have my targets from the range and I will be blogging about it tonight or tomorrow. B says I have a pretty good shot.
I'm sure if you guys did buy a gun and your learn how to use and handle it, you will feel differently about them.
I'm pretty sure DH will get his C&C..he wants me to get it too, but I don't know. I think the shooting in Tucson got him freaked out.
My dad has a couple of rifles and 2 pistols - he actually got one for my mom, but I don't think she's shot it yet.
