Re: Golden Globes?
I didn't get a chance to watch the golden globes last night, but I saw pictures from the red carpet and was wondering the same thing!
I missed quite a bit of it due to network problems with the satellite in our area, but from what I saw, here are my answers:
Thoughts? I thought it was about time Katy Segall won an award. I think she has got some real talent and looked great last night! Sandra Bullock looked great of course, but she has to do something with her hair. Bangs just don't suit her. Nicole and Keith looked great as always.
Best dresses vs. worst dressed?Worst dresses: Heidi Klum, Christina Aguilara,
Best speeches? I thought that Natalie Portman's was kind in poor taste, but at least she can laugh at herself.
Do you agree with the winners? didn't see too much as stated before. Saw Michael Douglas and loved it.
Why so many sleeves on dresses? Her speech made me uncomfy. When she started laughing I thought, "Uh-oh, she is cracking like her character!!" That dress would have been darling without that blob of flowers in the middle. Ick. I think she looks great with a smidge more meat on her bones than she had in the movie (where she had NO meat.)
I have to admit when she stated laughing I started laughing and thought to myself..."so that's where her flaw is!"
but yeah, dress was cute without the icky flowers in the center!
I read a quote that went something like this: Complaining about Ricky Gervais at the GG is like inviting a shark to your paddling pool and then complaining when your kids get bit.
Duh. It's Ricky Gervais. What did they expect?? Rumor has it that NBC execs pulled him aside during the broadcast and told him to tone it down. I guess they didn't see a script before hand so didn't know what he was going to do. That's all hearsay though.
I want to know what he was drinking...
Exactly. I adore Ricky Gervais. I can't imagine why they'd even invite him to host (for the second time?) if they didn't expect him to be vulgar.
