Just a .. vent? maybe?

I won't bore you with a bunch of details..

Let's just say I have this friend, I was the Maid of Honor in her wedding, her the Matron of Honor in mine -- however, I don't really consider myself to be that close to her anymore, she still considers, or so she says, me her best friend..

She's been dating this guy since November, engaged by December, and just announced on facebook that they are getting married February 18th.

One of the things I don't get here, is if we are "best" friends, and she freaks out on me if I don't call her when we are in town, is how she isn't like pushing for me to even meet this guy, let alone "approve" of him. -which is something she used to require, though my opinion didn't matter in her first marriage.

It just makes me laugh and say "really?".. especially with some of the things she has said about me slacking on our friendship.

I really don't expect any replies.. just had to get it off my chest.

You are right, though. That's pretty lame and I'd be kind of insulted. Outright miffed if she was giving me heat about being a slacker friend and then pulled this.

I'm assuming she has been divorced once then?

I think I would be a little upset with that too, how can she expect you to stay close and tell her things, when she can't even tell you she's getting married, you have to read it on FB, that's just wrong.

First off, hi! Where have you been?

Second of all, she's nuts and it's time to shut the door on that "friendship." Even if you do get invited to this wedding that will surely last, don't go. And do NOT waste money on sending a gift.

Yes, she's been married before, and divorced.

I've just spent less time on the computer lately.. with work and the holidays it got pretty hectic around here... I am not planning on going to the wedding, if we're even invited lol
