Recipes with oranges/tangerines?

My grandma lives in Florida.  For Christmas this year, she sent us a big box of Florida citrus fruits (oranges, tangelos, tangerines).  We've been eating them (and my orange peeling skills are improving!), but a month later, we still have a lot left.  And I don't think they're going to last much longer.

Does anyone have any good recipes that I can use these in?

Tonight I made orange cookies, using some fresh orange juice and orange zest.

Re: Recipes with oranges/tangerines?

  • If there are enough left, you could juice them all for some fresh juice to drink. You can also use orange juice and powdered sugar to make icing for pumpkin cookies (or even something like sugar cookies instead probaly). Have you ever had orange beef at a Chinese restaurant? I'm sure you could look up a recipe for that, but I have never tried to make it.
  • Yum.

I've made tangerine cookies before, but it sounds like you have the citrus cookie thing covered.
