The 2 yesterday were fabulous.I think we have a winner in both, but have a slight preference for one over the other.
We have one more on Wednesday because she has a head cold!
Next step, since the background checks have all come in is to narrow down top 2, do the reference checks, then spend 1/2 day with them here to get a sense of how they'll be with the baby.
Is the Russian one winning so far?
I'm a little disappointed there aren't more funny stores though, haha!
She's our second choice so far.
I can tell you something funny about my housekeeper. Okay, so she's Italian. really nice woman. But she gives me all kinds of unsolicited advice. And way TMI.
She showed me a pic of her daughter. I said, "oh she is cute!" she said, "yeah, she's a double D!"
Then she told me when DS was jaundiced and we were going through all of that treatment, "You don't need any of that stuff, just strip him down and put him in the yard for a little while, the sun will clear it right up."
Um. Yes. I am going to put my 4 day old infant in the yard, naked. In November.
Then she asked if I was giving him a sibling. I said, I don't know. I just had a baby 3 weeks ago. Maybe later.
"Oh you need to do it soon. Your bones are nice and soft now from delivering him and at your age, they will harden and it will be much harder for you to push the next one out."
I was like, "Do you not have something to dust?"
She is a nut. Very nice, but drives me a little batty so I try to get out of the house on the days she is here. The dog goes to daycare and I try to figure out what kind of errands to plan around her visit.
If I see her tomorrow, I'll report her findings on who knows what to me then.
Oh. Last time she was here, I had said I hadn't even had time to sweep the kitchen floor, so to pay extra attention to behind the dog crate. She said, "don't you be doing nuthin! You don't do nuthin! You do anything besides sit and hold him, your milk gonna dry up! And your milk dry up, you got no way to feed him. No way! None, ya hear!"
Love it! Keep it coming! and I hope the last interview went well and that you find someone that is perfect for your family!
