So I heard on the news the other night that Verizon is ending it's phone upgrade program when you renew your contract every 2 years. I'm seriously pissed about this. I am not the type of person who uses my phone for anything other than calling and texting, and at that, I only have a 250 texts per month plan.
Then I got to thinking that maybe I am in the minority in this and people upgrade their phone all the time anyway so the program wasn't really that relevant anymore. So, clicky poll.

Re: HTT
I don't ever upgrade my phone when it's not free and/or needed. However, that usually falls around the time I would renew my contract anyway. If they are cancelling the program, what are they doing? Do you have to pay for a new phone or some crap like that?
This exactly!!
My phone died on Saturday, so Sunday went to the verizon store and got a new phone, I knew I was due for the upgrade, and I thought it would be a freebie, but it wasn't. But still not a big deal because I only paid $50 for the new phone after the rebate.
