It's gonna be a WET spring.

I've been saying htis since last fall.  It started freezing when the water level was up anyway, then all the rain afterward, all the snow, it's not going to be fun.  I see a LOT of sandbags in  my future.

Thank goodness we have the flood walls in GF, but the area by Brent's uncles north of EGF will be in a world of hurt this year.  Fargo isn't going to be pretty either.

  • I'm sure it will all be a mess.  :-(

I eyeball the low spot in our backyard and just know it will be a mini lake in the spring.  If we were selling our house I could totally market it as "lakefront" property.  Big Smile

  • I'm hoping we get a week of 40 degree temperatures to help. But I don't think that will happen. The snow piles are now taller than our fence in the backyard. AWFUL. Our yard will be a SWAMP this spring!

  • I used to live in Fargo right on University, when it flooded two years ago they shut down the road in front of our house and it could only be used for semi trucks carrying sand bags.  I felt like I was in a war zone, every time they went past our house it would shake and there were constantly cop cars going by as well with their sirens on...even though there was no one else on the road! Although I miss the area/people, I am so glad I don't have to deal with that mess anymore!
