What would you do?

Ok, girls i need your opinion. Me and my husband have been married 7 months. This past December i graduated from college. My ultimate job i want is to do wedding photography. Well i found a job opening that would "get my foot in the door" with a photographer in Cincinnati. Its for a office position. The only thing that is holding me back is the fact my husband is still in school. He attends Morehead State which is about 2 hours away from cincy. We have an apartment in Morehead together. So if i was to apply to the job and get it i would have to move away from him.

Its a good job, nice pay rate, nice hours, everything. My husband said to go ahead that we would make it work, but i don't know about moving away from him. What would you girls do?

Re: What would you do?

  • Personally I would apply and see what happens before I got too worked up about it. But if it looked to be my dream job or could lead to my dream job I would probably take it. However, DH and I have already lived apart while we were engaged for 3 months and then again for 6 months and we made it work.

How much longer does your DH have before he graduates?

  • I wouldn't worry myself about it until there was a firm job offer on the table to discuss the pros/cons.

How long until your H graduates?

  • I agree with PP's regarding not getting too jazzed up until there is a firm offer in hand.

How long until your H graduates? DH and I lived separately (plane ride long distance) for quite some time while dating and engaged. My experience is this: it's NOT easy, but doable, as long as it's temporary.

Can he do next year distance learning? My friend goes to Morehead and she is doing her last semester online, living up here and driving in for a few things she needs to do.
