Not much new from me today, all I did last night was cook dinner and fold laundry. So productive.
It's already above freezing here (after being in the -20's yesterday) and the weather is just supposed to be gross. I'm glad I'm not driving this week!

It's been really mild here (10+ C), and the sun has finally decided to show it's face! I'll have to go out for a bit just to enjoy it while it lasts.
Otherwise just a quiet day here at work. I worked out this morning, so probably will have a lazy evening.

DH leaves tonight for his boy ski trip to Colorado. I am really going to miss him!
I should be able to get a ton done around the house though.
I feel like I've been in a coma forever, so I finally got my butt out of bed this morning. That was dumb, considering all the schools were cancelled from the ice/snow crap we got overnight and today. I managed to get down some breakfast, so I'm at work. Thankfully, DH drove us both in to work this morning or I may have just turned around and stayed home. Go figure my boss told me I should have as soon as I walked in. Well I'm here now! I think we're the only school left open today, and there are signs we'll be closing early. I for sure picked the wrong day to finally get back into the world. Looks like more snow in the forecast for Friday.
Hopefully today stays nice and quiet so I can get through some emails and just lounge at my desk.
Morning all! Took me two hours to get in today--Reba mentioned the ice (my condo sidewalks are skating rinks), but the red line on the Metro also had crazy delays. At least there's the delayed start (and I got to wear jeans today thanks to the weather).
Today should be quiet since everyone's probably out. I'm supposed to go to a book club meeting, but I'm not feeling motivated since I was away for this past weekend and will be away again starting Friday. I just want to enjoy my house a bit.
We'll see; it doesn't help that the book was blah.
Good morning! The weather is really nice here today, we're supposed to get into the 50's however it's a different story in the mountains they are getting slammed with more snow!
SweetPea - Do you know what your DH travel plans are for Colorado today? Right now a very large stretch of I-70 is closed in the mountains due to the snow. He might want to check that out!!

Hey ladies! I'm getting ready to head to bed but had a nice relaxing day. I played the guitar for about 3 hours in the morning and then another 2 with E when he got home, I'm determined to build up callouses and start rocking out all the time. Went to the market for awhile and got The Hills season 1-4 on DVD. I claim it's to prepare for life in LA, but really it's just a guilty pleasure... and it was only $5!
E and I went to dinner at a restaurant called Ocean which has amazing Mediterranean food, and then finished the last episode of The Pacific. And of course, more Lightroom!
Now jumping domestically.
Well that was a crazy couple of years.
I'm back to work today after a 3 day weekend AND students are back today after their Christmas break. Traffic around campus is back to usual and I can't say that I'm thrilled about it. It's always nice when students are gone and you can eat at all of the campus restaurants without a wait. But without the students I wouldn't have a job, so I guess I can't complain too much.
The long weekend was nice. I went to a bachelorette party on Saturday night, had friends over for the Bears game on Sunday and took it easy with Kyle yesterday, running errands and enjoying spending time with each other. I suspect that since the Bears won, we will be hosting another get-together this weekend so I'll spend the week prepping the house/pantry for that, only to get to clean up from it again next week.
Hi ladies. I did drive into work today, but of course it has started snowing, so I grabbed the laptop and am now home working. The pleasure of sweatpants and lounging in bed while working, Priceless.
This nasty weather is supposed to turn into ice and rain eventually. At least now I don't have to drive in it. Hoping to get a lot of work done over the next couple of days.

I took yesterday off to keep on eye on DH. Which then resulted in 3 1/2 hours at the ER because he started coughing up blood. He's being a trooper, but I swear they should give those who are playing nurse some good drugs too, I'm the one not sleeping due to his snoring which is due to his throat being swollen and the musical beds he's playing when he's hot and cold.
It's going to be a long week. Work seems to fall apart when I'm not here for a day.
I am officially back in school after a month off for winter break. So far, so good! 15 credits this semster, plus full time work, and I'm praying I don't get overwhelmed.
Today is a long day for the first day back too. School from 9-3, then work from 5-11.

Today was my first day at 'the other' hospital. That's 3 hospitals I work at now. Training went well, pretty low key. However, this weather shift had left me with a migraine and I'm home now trying to get rid of it. I skipped the gym - SHOCKING!!!
