How I Met Your Mother-spoilers
Did anyone else watch this? It brought tears to my eyes and made me sad. There was a thread on the entertainment board about it too, but I wanted to post it here. DH didn't have as much as a reaction. For one, he is a guy and not as emotional as I am and two his dad is still alive. My dad died suddenly of a heart attack in 2004 and I was there when it happened. I attempted CPR, but I think he was gone as soon as fell over. I am lucky to have had my dad for as long as I did and am so lucky to have my mom still here and for her to be with me during the engagement, wedding planning process, and the wedding day. My older brother walked me down the aisle and my mom walked down with a picture of my dad. Thanks for reading.
Re: How I Met Your Mother-spoilers
I definitely got a little choked up at the end of it. I haven't lost a parent, but I lost my grandmother (who I had a VERY close relationship with ) when I was 14, and my grandfather passed away either the night of the wedding in his sleep or very early the next morning.
I'm sorry to hear about your father - I can't imagine how awful that must have been for you. ::hugs::
RIP Dr. Irving Fishman - 10/1/19-7/25/10 - thank you for holding on for me.
You made my wedding day complete.
