I did an interview with the EP Patch, an online town news source, last Thursday. The link above is the article that was written about what I went through last summer and how I decided to raise money for Dana Farber Cancer Institute by running the Boston Marathon (which is 3 months from TODAY btw!)
This just makes me really happy. Especially since Brent's grandmother just died on Thursday last week and I had to go to her funeral yesterday. It was really hard to not only be at a funeral home, but then to see all his family whom I have not seen since my dad died 4 months ago. I just feel proud that I am following through with my goal to "find a healthy way to manage stress". This was exactly the phrase I said to my mom when I found out she was smoking again (which is why she was in the hospital right before Christmas)
Anyway, I just wanted to share with you. There are a few pictures online too. One is of me and my brother with my dad at hospice, just me and my dad at hospice. And one of just him at the Crescent Park carousel.
