I hate the whole process of moving
Looking for a place to move
Applying to places to move
Packing
The actual moving
and Unpacking
Particularly dislike it when the move is across town ... *sigh*

Larissa you are so right. We moved 5 miles when we bought our house, it was ridiculous !
But, I did find that I had a lot of stuff to donate when we moved in ... it was cleansing to say the least.
Good luck, Jill.

I hate moving too!! It's nooo fun!!
GL!
Well, it's not really what I call a "short distance" ... it's about 50 miles from our current place to where we're looking. Across town would be across Houston in this case. And Houston is very spread out.
I suspect we'll be getting rid of a lot of crap before we move. And my daughter has informed me that we don't need to worry about a room specifically for her because she thinks she'll be moving out of her parents' homes after HS graduation. Bwahahahahahaah!!!! But hey, whatever. I have this sneaking suspicion that even if she has to work four jobs, she'll do it so she can be "independent".
I'm mostly disappointed because my son will have to move and change HS's again, even though when I bought this place I planned to stay here till he was done. However ... with things the way they are, I don't see any way around it.
I keep telling myself he'll adjust ... he always has in the past, but I still feel like the worst mom in the world.
