You know that you have reached adulthood when getting a new vacuum makes you happy.

The GUNK my old vacuum left behind is unbelievable. I got the Bissell Rewind Smartclean at Kohls with my Christmas giftcards.

Of course DH who always groans when I ask him to vacuum immediately offered to do the first cleaning job with it! I was like no way! It's technically my Christmas gift! We were amazed with the stuff in the canister. No more vacuums with bags for this gal!

We have a little shark cannister vac but it would suck the bolts out of a boat hull. Seriously though it's great having a strong vaccum.

Haha, we were so excited to get a new vacuum but we didn't get it for our wedding (no, it wasn't one of the crazy expensive ones), so we bought it ourselves with some of our wedding money! I love ours because there's no bags. It's amazing how much puppy hair it gets up. We have to empty the canister several times during 1 vacuuming of our 2 bedroom apartment!

DH's parent's got us a vacuum for Christmas - I was so excited when I unwrapped the box. Is that wrong? My mom actually called later that night and I believe our exact conversation was "guess what we got?!? ... A VACUUM!" She's a clean freak so she can relate to the excitement. Looking back, it's kind of sad.

When we got home, we actually argued over who was going to get to use it first. I guess we reached adulthood too.

I feel the same way - except that we got a new dryer for Christmas from my parents. I was giddy excited about it and it works so much better than our old crappy one that was circa 1975. I can't wait to see my gas bill!

I can also relate! I was so excited when we got our new vacuum after the wedding! Although, it's got some kind of sensor light that tells you if the floor still has dirt or is clean...so DH enjoys vacuuming to play with the lights! haha...I won't complain, one less thing I've got to worry about!

I am there as well. We just got ours with a Christmas giftcard and it came right before our NYE party, it was all I could talk about at the party haha. After midnight everyone was walking around picking up the stuff from the poppers and I was like "don't bother, when you leave I'm busting out my new vacuum!!!" DH and I also argued about who got to use it first. Ours is also bagless and has a hepa filter...I am in love Embarrassed
