We didn't have a dishwasher in the old apartment. I was doing dishes in the new house and couldn't find the dish strainer. I asked dh what I should do with the dishes without a strainer. He says "put them in the dishwasher." I say "put them in the dishwasher to dry? I suppose I could..." At which point he says um, no, actually use the dishwasher to wash the dishes. Dur. Can you tell I haven't had a dishwasher in a while? Didn't even occur to me to use it.
