We had Verizon for 5 years and recently switched to AT&T in July.
I always upgraded with Verizon every 24 months ( always wanted the new phone ) but not that we both have iphones, I have no desire to upgrade to another phone.
Our bill with AT&T has more minutes ( 1600 shared minutes a month with rollover ) and is about $30 less a month than Verizon. I've never had any service issues - but
when we switched from Verizon to AT&T, Verizon would not give us our full account number ( which we would give to AT&T to prove we owned the numbers ) bc they didn't want us to switch to another carrier. Too bad, I had printed out a bill with our full account number -- douches.
Re: Ali and Melissa
I switched from Verizon to AT&T four years ago right before the iphone. Now the only time I upgrade my phone is every other iPhone release.
I'd never go back to Verizon. AT&T's customer support is light years ahead. And for the first time ever, my bill has been consistent.
We'll have to look at plans this spring when we're ready to switch, but right now we pay about $78 a month for two phones and maybe 250 texts. We don't have internet and I'm not really sure that I want it. We'll see!
Oh and I keep our monthly statements with our account number on them
The Sand in My Snow Boots
This is us exactly. I do NOT want internet on my phone. It's blocked so I don't even get those stupid charges when I accidentally hit the button.
