What can I say, I'm a planner.
Do you & DH have any plans for your anniversary just yet? If so, what are you doing?
J & I are planning to take a vacation around our 1 year anniversary (without any clue as to where we're going yet). He's doing the MS City to Shore with my Dad on the day of our anniversary, but we're thinking of taking a vacation the following week.

Re: What can I say, I'm a planner.
Don's family is getting a house at the beach the week of our anniversary and they want us to go. It would only cost us $300 for the week so we're considering doing that. They're going back down to the Outer Banks so it would be nice to be down there for our anniversary since we got married there.
What we'd really like to do is go some where w/ our tax refund money like Las Vegas, New Orleans, Orlando...but now we're thinking it might be best to put that towards what he owes on his truck instead.
My IL's offered to do this for us. Would love to but I can't see spending my anniversary with them since they kind of make me crazy when we're together long periods of time and we're going down to OBX with them in June. Luckily we have a good excuse as I'm going back to school and can't really take the time off. So we'll probably just do a nice dinner out or possibly go somewhere for the weekend in mid/late August.
I'm so jealous of everyone that will be going on nice anniversary trips!

We might save it for our 1st anniversary, but at the same time, I don't know if I want to wait that long to enjoy such a great gift! lol
kmason--what a nice gift!
who knows what we will do--we have a wedding to go to the week after (that we are both in), and then the day after the wedding we head down to rehoboth DE for a weeklong family reunion. so there is a lot of vacation time right there...we probably cannot take too much more right then, so maybe just go out to dinner, or go get a hotel somewhere for that weekend.
i am however secretly planning a few things for gerren: a ski trip for his birthday, a weekend in philly this summer, and POSSIBLY one of these spring trips: a long weekend in texas for a crawfish boil with friends OR a 4 or 5 day cruise to get some sun! we will see how much tax money we get...

Since I was sick, and got DH sick on the HM, we're going back to Mexico! He was completely on-board with the idea since neither one of us felt we really got to fully enjoy our HM. We had fun, but the couple excursions we took exhausted us, and we hardly spent any time on the beach, or at the pool, etc.
We're almost definitely going back to the Riviera Maya, but we'll probably try another AI (although we LOVED the one we stayed at).
I work at a Jewish preschool so I usually have lots of days off in the fall with all the holiday's, hense why we got married when we did. Less vacation days:) So we will probably go to the Florida Keys around our anniv. The inlaws have a house there so we usually go there that time of year anyway.
We also realized we should have gotten off the boat there on our honeymoon instead of staying on our cruise.
We are going to Disney with good friends Sept 15-23 (our anniversary is 9/25) as sort of our gifts to each other. We're going all out on the trip - MFD has never been and I am so excited to go. I am selfishly excited for myself since my friend is a Disney maniac and is planning it all. This is the first time in 16 years I won't be planning my vacation and it is so lovely to give it up just this once.
Since 9/25 is a Sunday, I'd like to maybe head to the shore and have lunch where we got married, but I don't know if we'll feel like doing that after being gone on vacation.
I have never been to Niagara Falls. It's on my to do/see list. What a lovely gift!
Considering we've yet to take our HM, I doubt we'll take a 1 year anniversary trip. We might do a small getaway like we did for our "mini-moon" but nothing big. I really want to go back to Sea World soon and Jeremy's never been so I'm thinking we might do that...
Ideally, I'd want to take an late HM/early anniversary trip and surprise Jeremy with a trip to Wimbledon (it's amazing) and he's love to watch nadal play live but that's in another year (lifetime) ha
I'm not sure yet. We're going to Hawaii in July for his 30th plus planning a big 3-0 Birthday bash. I would just like to get away for the weekend, somewhere secluded, with a few bottles of bubbly.
I do know what I'm getting him for his anniversary gift...I want to do b pics so I need to get my a$$ in shape!
