Update 39 weeks
I posted this on the baby boards, but wanted to share over here too.
I've made no progress (still 1 cm, 50%, -1). Dr. is concerned about the baby's size being big and thinks I'll respond really well to gel only, no need for pitocin.
I asked for an ultrasound (tomorrow) just to make sure the size is big. Even if it is an estimate, it might ease my mind (DS was nearly 10lbs at 38 wks) and doc thinks at this stage I can avoid a c/s. Also he said he'd check me in his office again Thursday afternoon just to see if anything has changed.
I originally wanted to wait until next week to schedule an induction, but I'd have to have another doctor deliver LO, which isn't that big of a deal, but I do like this doctor and he delivered DS. Plus, this weekend works out so much better for us to make arrangements for DS, especially since I need to be at the hospital at 5 am Friday. I am looking forward to not working anymore too, just b/c it is the semester switch and a nice time for me to exit, oh and I have like 1 pair of pants that still fit, lol.
I can't believe the end is in sight!
