CRAFTY ME
my read shelf:
Must be it works out to 111 for anyone born before the year 2000 because 2 of my sisters kids get 11 and my oldest nephew born in 99 gets the 111.

Let us know what you'd find, I'd love to know!
it's just because your age plus the year you were born will always equal the current year. I was born in 1985. when I was 1, it was 1986 and my age plus 1985 = 1986
for that little "trick", all they did was tell you to take the last 2 digits from the year instead of the whole year. if you used the whole year, it will equal 2011 (1985+26=2011)
This is the basis. It's just interesting for this year because 85+26=111. All 1s. Next year, it'll be 85+27=112. The last two digits will always equal the last two digits in the year for people born in the 1900s. People born in the 2000s will also get the the last two digits of the current year. I think it's neat for this year when thinking of the four dates this year that are all 1s.
