Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Any word on Friday?
I heard we are supposed to get another storm Thursday night into Friday. I'm really tired of the storms and I hope this misses us. We only have 1 more snow day left to use and winter's barely half over.

What happens if you use up all of your snow days?
When I was in school in CT - if we used all of our snow days then they would take away Feb. break days one by one, and then would start adding extra days to the end of the year in June! I think one year we went to school until June 25th or something like that!
Since I've been working at my district we have never used more snow days than we are given. I guess the way it works is that the staff dev. day in March would become a day with the kids and then they would start taking days away during April break. Thing is, we usually don't use all our snow days and there's nothing in our contract to get them back - so no Friday before Memorial Day for us ever.
When I was in school I remember having a 5 day weekend for Memorial Day because we didn't use our snow days. I wish that were the case here.
