Any knitters?
So, one of my SILs gave me a knitting book the other day. I don't really know how we got on the topic, but we were discussing knitting and she got the brilliant idea that I could/should learn how to knit. I think it would be fun to learn, but I'm not a super crafty person so I don't know how it's going to work. But I was just curious to see if there was anyone else here that knits or has knitted in the past? Any advice for a newbie?

I have never knitted but I did crotchet a blanket for my sister's baby. It wasnt the best but it was my best first attempt.
Check into Joanne Fabrics, they have classes you can sign up for. I think they are like $35 but sometimes they do half price classes. That might be a good way to at least go and learn the basics and then you can practice at home.
