Re: Wednesday Workshop (New!!!)
OK! So, i'm not technically working on this yet, but it's my next project idea. I've wanted to do this ever since we bought our house and now i'm going to start collecting the mirrors (ones that aren't crazy expensive.
Welcome to my inspirations for my mirror collage stairway!

I love the mirror idea. My grandparents used to have a picture wall going up the stairs that reminds me of this. The mirrors are cool and different.
I don't have pictures or inspiration, but I think we are about ready to start hanging pictures in our place. We both like the gallery idea. I know we want one in the kitchen. But I am thinking another in the living room. I have a bunch of different frames that don't match but look fun together. I think I will use these in the kitchen. But I think in the living room, I want it to look more put together, so I will have them match more, maybe by color (black) or just all the same frame.
LOVE the gallery idea. We have a few collage frames hanging around the apartment, but I had some of my pictures from my travels abroad framed a while back and have yet to hang them - that is DH's job, since I am not very handy around the house like that.
This week I am trying not to die of boredom before my grad classes start next week (yeah, we start way late) so I finished a baby blanket for a friend (baby is 6 mo, but my life got in the way of me finishing it when baby was born in July!), finished a cross-stitched announcement for a friend's baby due in Feb, and now working on a third announcement for DH's best friend's baby (he was also the best man in our wedding) who is due in April.
Once those are done, I'm going to work on my Semester at Sea scrapbook (5 years in the making) and our honeymoon scrapbook.
Yep, I am always crafting somthing (nothing complicated, of course) and use it to de-stress from school/life...
LOVE love love the mirror idea! I love mirrors as decor.
That was a lot of love being thrown around, haha
I have two big things that I am working on. They're related... so I guess one big project. I am starting to get my freelance stuff together. I am creating a studio in the "spare" room in our apartment. I have a backdrop set-up that is standing. Now, I need to create the backdrops to hang from it. I am hoping to buy the materials this week. That's the first half. The second half is to get my website ready. I actually have it online now (!!!!) I just need to update it, as my bio is from last spring and a lot has changed. I also want to add a link to my blog (hmm, another project), update my portfolio section, add more to the portfolio, and change the contact page. I gotta a lot of work to do....
Kim - I LOVE the top picture!
No real house projects for me over here, but Drama Club is a daily project/adventure! Today the Ben Nye makeup kits came in, so i have to now figure out how to explain to middle school kids how to put on creme eyeshadow. Fun...
My meeting was cancelled today and we had cancelled rehearsal because of it, so I'm off to home depot to pick up a few brackets that we need to finish buidling the sets, once I finish my grading.
RIP Dr. Irving Fishman - 10/1/19-7/25/10 - thank you for holding on for me.
You made my wedding day complete.
We recently added some decor to our (empty) dining room. One side is art and a carved paddle from Bora Bora and the other side is wedding pictures.
Mounting the paddle was interesting. We had to use curtain rod brackets.
