I think I need a vacation....

I am trying to convince DH that we really need to go on a vacation, we never took a honeymoon and this winter is finally getting to me. Even if we don't go, it is still fun to think of warm places. If you could go on a tropical vacation where would you go or where have you been that you would recommend?

We went to Kauai for our honeymoon. It was fabulous! We want to go back so badly... but I don't think it will happen for awhile. Overall, the most expensive thing was the rental car (besides the condo we rented) because we were there for just over a week. I read almost 5 whole books, we biked on a gorgeous trail and ended up at a "secret" beach... It was awesome!

The next spot on my list: Key West for more than 3 days.

you aren't kidding! I am so sick to death of the cold! It's 11 below this morning and temps are dropping! We are going on vacation next month but it's to West Yellowstone, MT. Still cold, but nothing like this at least!!

The one place we would both go back again and again (and even buy a vacation home there) is Akumal, Mexico.

I loved Belize, too.

If money wasn't an issue, I'd be on the first plane to Mauritius or Seychelles or somewhere in the South Pacific. Some day... hopefully.

I have been to Meixco 3 times now, so I would obviously go back there. I loved Maui but it is so expensive so I have not been back. I have also been to the Cayman Islands, it was a relaxing vacation but there isn't much to do there, so unless I was on a cruise I don't think I would go there again.

On my list of warm places to go- Aruba, Belize and Bahama's.

We went to Aruba on our honeymoon and had a fabulous week. We're thinking of going on a cruise next winter to the eastern carribbean or Mexico.

We love Cabo San Lucas, Playa del Carmen, and anywhere in the Caribbean. Puerto Rico was super fun. If money weren't an issue we'd be heading to Fiji or the Cook Islands :-)

I love Cabo too! I had a college roomate whose family has a condo there so I have been with her three times! I am looking into Puerto Rico as it doesn't seem too incredibly expensive and I can't find DH's passport at the moment.

I think choosing a destination depends completely on what you want to get accomplished there. If all you want to do is sit on the beach and relax I say do an all inclusive somewhere in the Carribean. We went to Mexico this past Oct and loved it. If you want more adventure I would try Costa Rica and Belize; they are a little closer to the jungle and should have some fun excursions. If you love outdoors I would do Hawaii and hike and bike and kayak and the sorts, but Hawaii is over priced in my opinion.

We loved Hawaii and would love to go back! We spent a week on Oahu and a week on Maui. I would love to go to Kauai and the Big Island. I really didn't think Hawaii was that expensive, but I'm a bargain hunter and we stayed at budget hotels.
