Worst week in a loooong time

Im in San Antonio visiting a few of my sales people. First couple of days were in one location and hassle free other than noticing that my period felt like it was coming on. Which is weird because I'm like clock work and shouldn't start until Saturday. So last night I arrive to my second location yesterday and my sales manager wants to show me around the meeting space. My stuff ismy room other than my wallet. So I say, "is it safe to leave my wallet in your office."and she says, "oh yes, my purse is right there and I leave it there all the time." So I go ahead and leave my wallet. Come back 25 minutes later and it's gone. No wallet, gone bye bye. But the trashin the office has been emptied, so they go through all the trash bins in the entire very large place. Check the video camera that shows no one but employees walked in there. great so an employee probably stole the wallet of a regional director visiting, oh how thoughtfull of you. So now I have no DL. And I have to go home tomorrow. If I start my period early, I have to get home by sat for my cycle day 3 testing. If miss it, it will be two more months before I can do it because of my travel schedule. Well guess, what started last night? I have no money, no Morton, and like two tampons. This sucks. Posting on iPad, sorry.

Re: Worst week in a loooong time

  • Oh sweetie. I am so sorry. This is terrible.

Could they not see who stole the wallet? Even if they don't see which one did, could they see which employees were in there and narrow it down?

I would contact TSA or something and find out what can be done re:ID when yours is stolen. Maybe there are things they can do in these situations.

Call me if you need anything.

  • When it rains it pours.  I was travelling once with someone whose license was stolen.  You should file a police report, and call the airline in addition to TSA.  They eventually let her on the plane but it was a real process.

Do you have a passport at home that someone can FedEx to you?

  • Oh no.  I'm sorry, that totally sucks.

  • I'm sorry Dawg that totally bites.
  • Dawg, I am filled with rage for you. RAGE. I hope you can get home soon.

  • That rots.  I'm sorry you are stuck in so many because of some petty thief.  I would demand to see the surveillance tapes and interrogate the few people that entered that room to the point they'd turn on their own mother, I'd be so pissed.  So sorry you are going through this.
  • You can always use the iPAD if you run out of tampons.  (sorry, had to)

I'm not sure why they can't question people around the office or offer a way to anonymously return your cards and DL (assuming they just wanted cash).

  • Is she not hauling every employee who went into that office into a meeting and interrogating the sh*t out of them? Or is it just "Oh, must have been one of the employees... that sucks!"

I feel so ragey for you. All of those things combined definitely make a sh*tty week. Sorry Dawg.

  • I hope by some miracle you get your wallet back.  That sucks, Dawg.

  • Dawg - that blows about your wallet. I hope that you find some resolution with that, not just to get your DL back, but because that is a shittty effing thing to do to anyone.

If you can't get home by day 3 of your cycle, I am pretty sure you should be able to get your blood drawn at a lab in San Antonio. There are lots of national labs (LabCorps for one). Call your doctor and get them to fax the order in. I am sure something can be worked out

  • Update: Tony went home last night and found my old passport and because it's in my old last name, he also made a copy of the marriage license and my ss card and over nighted them to the hotel. They will be here in the morning. I called our travel agency and they sent notes to the airline. She said not to call TSA because they will flag me and cause me more delays. She said to just get there early with the police report and other documents and I should be fine. As far as interrogations go, the police man tried to get some info, but no luck. The gm here seems to want to hide it rather thAn start asking questions, but I called his boss and he's making calls. I myself have to be careful how I proceed as freaking out will put a black mark on me. It's kinda political. Oh and I made my team member buy me some tampons and mortinon her purchasing card so I'm all plugged up and good to go. Wells Fargo also gave me replacement card so I have money. I'm going to go over to the river walk tonight and buy a new wallet and dinner.

  • It kills me how close yet far away you are. I wish I could drive over and have dinner with you.
  • Me too, winger. Me too.

  • I'm glad it looks like you'll be able to fly home even though it's a huge PITA.  That's a good idea about having the blood drawn there, but I think you may need an u/s too, correct?  I remember having to have an u/s somewhere around days 3 or 4 I thought.  Yeah, having a transvaginal u/s while on the rag is a good time.
