Good Morning!
Even though both Derek and I were exhausted last night, neither of us slept very well. Boo.
Derek's little brother and his girlfriend are coming in to town late tonight to stay the weekend, so that should be fun (and mean no early bedtime tonight, sadly) but it does mean that I have a bunch of cleaning and running around to do after I get home from work.
The cats were in a super playful mood last night, it was awesome. Chloe was sitting behind the curtain, and Meka came up to check out the situation. Then Chloe did a flying leap through the curtains and tackled Meka. They spent the next 10 minutes wrestling. So entertaining.

I didn't sleep too well either. My mom called late last night (like 11:15) but I missed the call - I then spent the next 20 minutes trying to get back in touch with her since I thought there might be some emergency (she's usually pretty mindful of the time difference and doesn't call that late). And then she was in a chatty mood. She did have some bad news, though - one of their cats died
. Really sudden too, and she doesn't know why. He was only about 5 years old too. They got him after I moved out, so I wasn't too attached, but I'm still sad for them. She's already talking about getting another one though, since she thinks the other cat is already getting lonely.
Anyway, not much else going on for me today. I think we're getting our bonus numbers, but my manager is too busy to tell us. Grrr.

Morning ladies. I actually slept pretty good. I feel asleep around 9:00 and didnt' have to get up until around 4:00 for the boys. Crossing fingers that this continues for them.
Today is going to be a focus day for me, so my goal is no internet for me while I am at work. I can't have the distraction. I have a lot to get done.
Tonight is hopefully Zumba and today is my weigh in. I am hoping that I lost at least 3lbs since my last weigh in, but who knows. I am anxiously excited. I have made one of my first goals (5% weight loss), and am now looking forward to the next one. Which is to be under a certain number. I am inching closer to my pre-pregnancy weight.

So we're going to attempt to spend this weekend condo prepping and list early next week. We're going to Home Depot to pick up some final supplies tonight and Sherlock will be on 'vacation' at auntie kaesha's as of Sunday.
Yappy won't shut up this morning, and for some reason his owner doesn't lock him into her bedroom anymore, but lets him roam the whole apartment so that the sound of his barking isn't just muffled but echoing down the entire hall. Good grief. I will miss living here but I will not miss him.

Lol. A neighbour just knocked on Yappy's door and that shut him up for about 30 seconds. He's going it at again but sounds more muffled... maybe in another corner of the apartment.
Well, at least the good thing is that if he's not locked in the bedroom and only bothering us, maybe it'll annoy another neighbour enough to do something about it. I thought he had gotten better lately, but apparently he can't handle his newfound freedom I guess.

Morning. Today's my Friday--off to NYC tomorrow morning on Amtrak. Today will probably be another low-key day at work. Tonight's a gym night, and I'll finally do the laundry I've been putting off all week (and need for the trip).
Thankfully I'm having another decent day. Lots of vitamin water and a muffin to chow on really soon. It's chocolate with chocolate chips. This poor kid is gonna be on a sugar high when it comes out.
I am super sleepy today, though. I can't seem to fall asleep when I lay in bed, and then the alarm is not so welcome in the morning. Just keep saying there's only one more day in this week. Thank goodness!

I slept like a rock last night. I tried to watch the 10:00 news and passed out before it even started. I needed that, I am so tired this week.
DH has been gone for 2 days and doesn't get back until Saturday. I really miss him and Buddy is a sad sight without his daddy so I brought him to work with me. He is sleeping under my desk.

Yesterday was the 1 year anniversary of my step-dad's passing. It wasn't a great day. I was doing pretty well until after lunch. After that I think my exhaustion started catching up with me and people had been posting (nice) comments on FB but they had me in tears at my desk. I also just kept thinking about my mom and was hoping that she was doing ok. I decided to postpone all of my after work plans (which included cleaning the bathroom, working out, etc) and spent the night taking it easy and catching up on my DVR instead.
I'm thinking that today should be back to a normal day. We are getting more snow here and the drive to work wasn't pleasant, but I didn't fall down on my walk in. After work I'm hoping to accomplish everything that I didn't do last night.

Hi ladies! E and I just got back home and are relaxing a bit. We got dinner at the little restaurant next door - love that place especially since it's a combined $3 for both of our meals. Then we went to the German Cultural Center where they were screening a documentary about the Khmer Rouge regime and genocide. It was made only a couple of months after the liberation in 1979, so the accounts from victims were very fresh - it was so moving and powerful.

Well that was a crazy couple of years.
Good morning ladies, I just got to work after school. This week is killing me. I went to a concert on Monday night and feel like I still can't catch up/stay on top of things this week.
Tonight is house cleaning. I'm throwing a bridal shower on Saturday and this is the only time I have available to clean and get ready. Other than that I fully intend on crashing out when that is done.

Today was a normal work day. I got up early this morning to hit the gym before work again. I find that I prefer to go before work on my 8:30-4:30 shifts.
Now, I'm waiting for DH to get home and we're going to a concert. The Afters are playing at Chrysler Theater. Hopefully the night isn't too late.
