Hi Sprinkles!

Well, this kid is already causing some anxiety in its parents, so it must be DH's spawn! I had my 2nd appointment with the OB/GYN today, and everything was great. We were really excited to hear the h/b, but the doctor couldn't find it after 10 minutes of prodding around. I was doing my best not to freak out (at least outwardly!), but she assured me that she wasn't worried and had caught it briefly, but sent us next door for an u/s just to confirm. The second I was down on the table, the tech assured me there was indeed a baby in there with a strong h/b- phew! Man, was that child rocking out! She turned the screen so we could see, and there was crazy arm & leg movement and it kept rolling over, so cute! Seriously, it looked like that child was in its fifth hour at a German rave! So everything looks great, we're measuring on track, and we got this great photo as a "thanks for coming". I can't believe it's actually looking like a real bambino now, I love it!

Hi baby Sprinkles!!! Please stop scaring mommy and daddy, its hard enough to wait 40 weeks for you but adding in the scaring it makes it just a horrible wait! Be good and we will see you soon!!

Let's hope that Sprinkles gets his/her energy out while in utero and is a nice, calm, sleeping outside baby!

This is my 2nd pregnancy and I still get nervous at my appt. until I hear the heartbeat!

Ahh Sprinkles is a cutie pie. I hope he/she stops scaring you like that. I also would get nervous right before every appointment, right up until after they were born and the Pedi gave them the all clear.

Thanks all! We're pretty much over the moon with the whole thing- concentrating at work today (and not window shopping on BRU!) is almost impossible. Stick out tongue

The tech actually offered to tell us the sex, but we've decided to go Team Green so I squealed out "NO!" like a crazy person, which made her laugh. It is such a stark difference from the 1st u/s where it was more like a little lima bean that was pretty much just loafing around, and now it actually looks like a tiny person with crazy movements. I have a feeling I'll go through this nervousa before most of the u/s dates, but I can't wait until the next u/s around 18wks, it feels like forever away!!!

I had a panicky appointment like that around the end of my first tri...took the MW forever to find the heartbeat and since I had already been convinced in my head that something was wrong, I was certain I miscarried. The HB that day was the biggest relief I've ever felt. I hope your baby stops scaring you like that!!

And if Sprinkles keeps up being such a camera ham, you may have trouble staying Team Green!

That is amazing! It's incredible how quickly fetuses develop. I hope next time Sprinkles behaves a little better and doesn't get mom and dad worked up. ;-)
