Has anyone seen Black Swan? Thoughts??

We saw it last weekend. I really liked it.. But its one of those movies I'll probably never watch again. It was SO intense... I had major anxiety the whole time. WDYT?

  • Oohhhh this makes me want to see it even more.

But we don't do theaters.  So I'll comment in six months when it comes out on DVD.  lol
  • I have seen it twice... once in theater and once at home... I LOVED it... definitely makes you go hmmmmmm at the end lol.  Holy hott lesbian scene though... better than Wild Things lol.

  • I thought it was too dark and they didn't go a good enough job with character development in the beginning so I didn't really care about Natalie Portman's character and if she was going crazy or not.  There were some really good parts to it, but all in all I think it needed to be a little more balanced.

This.  I still want to see Black Swan, The King's Speech, The Fighter, and True Grit.

I really want to see True Grit and we keep thinking of going to see it.  We both like the Cohen brothers and love Jeff Bridges.  But after seeing some clips on a PBS show about Jeff Bridges, we think we're gonna wait - I can see us really needing subtitles.  How bad is that?  We both looked at each other and said - WTF did they just say??  lol  After every.single.clip.

My dad (who is almost 80 and is a british citizen) remembers hearing the King on his dad's radio and wept (he's not a crier) at the end of The King's Speech. He thought it was really well done.

    Oh Crumbs

  • I saw it last week in the theater with my mom. DH doesnt do movie theaters either. We've seen one movie together in the theater.

It wasn't what I expected but it was really good. Although for a while I thought I was going to have another incident of motion sickness int he theater b/c of the camera angles.  I told DH about the lesbian scene and he wanted all the gory details LOL.

  • I liked Black Swan, but yeah not something I'd seek out to see again. Once was enough, but it was a GOOD experience nonetheless. It was pretty intense, and the ending kind of perplexed me. I was actually expecting a bit more on the twists, especially since this was by the same person that did Requiem for a Dream.
