I know lots of people complain about their ISP - so I thought I'd put a RAVE out there for Qwest.
Our internet service went down a few days ago - several calls to the Qwest help line later, they scheduled and appointment to have someone come out to look at things. I was given the typical service time range of 8am to 5 pm, but I requested anytime after 10am if possible.
At 10 am on the dot, Tom the service guy called and said he had already checked out the outside stuff and saw no problems and would need to come in to check out the modem/router.
As soon as he stepped inside the house I told him what was happening and he said he's seen that several times this week - that our modem/router was bad and we needed a new one and he happened to have one in his truck. He immediately went out to get it and came in, replaced ours and did all the setup stuff. Yay!
Everything seemed to be working great but an hour later the service went down again. I had Tom's cell number on our caller ID so I called him up and told him the problem was still happening. He said he could come back in an hour or so but 20 minutes later he was at our door!
He gave us another NEW modem/router - that is actually a more expensive model, set it up and said to call him directly if we have any more issues.
Yay Qwest! Yay Tom!! I am a very happy customer!!
The only thing I am upset about is that he was so quick in coming back that the blueberry muffins I was making for him (as a thank you) weren't ready. :-)

See I'll rave all day about DirectTV they're awesome, but you couldn't pay me a million dollars to work with Qwest...the technicians may be good (never had experience with them) but their customer care is horrible.
