Happy Hump Day!

Hello ladies! There haven't been many recent posts on here, so I thought I'd say hi and hopefully strike up a conversation! :) Anything new with anyone? Anyone have fun plans for the coming weekend? I know I DON'T...money is too tight to do anything very exciting :/ I'm just hoping for some decent weather so that hopefully we can do something outdoors.

Re: Happy Hump Day!

  • I hear ya about the weather.  Today is pretty perfect, so if it could stay like this until after mardi gras I'd be a happy camper.  Next Tuesday is my birthday, so Saturday night my friend is having a little party at her house where we will play Minute to Win It type games- should be fun.  Then the hubbs found me a CHEAP round trip ticket to NYC for the following weekend so I'll get to go visit my new little nephew for the first time!!!!!  Also, I've never seen real snow, so I'm probably just as excited for that as I am to see the baby- haha.
  • I also think we should plan a gtg! Thoughts?
  • Today was a day. It was Crazytown at work and I'm blaming the full moon. No big plans for the weekend except for laying low, doing some cleaning.

We do need to plan a gtg. I think there is only 4 of us posting, right? Two of us on the Northshore and two on the Southshore. So...where do we meet up?

  • It's moving weekend for us and I couldn't be happier! Saturday at 10am we're meeting the movers in Baton Rouge to get all our stuff out of storage. I have been waiting for this day for 8 months lol

Christen, that's so exciting about your upcoming trip!

  • Oh, the gtg, sounds like a great idea to me! Would somewhere in New Orleans work? Not good with geography but it seems to be in the middle for all of us.
  • I'd be fine with having a gtg in New Orleans. I live on the northshore, but I work in the city, so I'm used to making the trip. I saw on one of the other boards that they were doing a mexican/margarita gtg. We should do something we all like. I'm down for pretty much whatever- very easy-going.

Mexican/Margarita gtg would be great. Superior Grill or Juan's would work. They also have Chevy's or La Carreta's on Veterans and we would be close to Lakeside Mall if we wanted to hit up some stores after lunch.

  • Good Lawd there is nothing better than a frozen Superior margarita.  I'm not sure if I can do a gtg any time soon since my spending funds are kind of low, but the second I get a job I will be all over this.  Have fun!!
  • La Caretta's margaritas are great! But I'm open to anywhere with alcohol :P
