Skylar's school is on lockdown-updated-again

No info on why yet.  But another 2 co-workers have a son there also so I'm sure we will hear something soon.  Makes me nervous when stuff like that happens.

Apparently there is some sort of medical emergency.  Don't know any more if it's a teacher or student or anything.  All we know so far is the fire department and ambulance are there.  Now to just hope it's not too bad.  :(

Apparently some child had a mental breakdown.  He did some harm to himself and tried to harm a teacher who was trying to help him also.  :(  Poor guy.  Hope he gets the help he needs.   Skylar text me over lunch and told me what was happening and it's a kid she knows.  She felt so bad for him.  I guess he is a really nice kid and she is pretty worried about him.  :(

  • Whenever there is a situation where the medics come, they always put the school on lockdown just to make sure everyone stays out of the way, more than anything.
  • and for the privacy issue of it too I'm sure.  Skylar has no clue who the kid was because the school is pretty good about protecting that child's identity.  Which is GREAT!   I'm just glad it wasn't something tragic like a gunman or something!  Not knowing was the worst part.  As soon as I heard it was a medical emergency, I was fine.  Liek I said, I just hope the child is ok whatever his/her situation is.
