Cleaning out...what to do with....

I am cleaning out some stuff.....

What should I do with these things (as an alternative to throwing them in the trash can)?

Broken coffeemaker (nicer one, cuisinart)

Old bras--not worn out ones, but ones I used to wear pre-baby..

Old 90s style Coach purses I no longer use

Thoughts?  Thank you!

Re: Cleaning out...what to do with....

  • Coffee Maker- freecycle.org

bras- take them to the local womens shelter

purses- craigslist and if that doesn't work freecycle

  • Wow good call on the womans shelter idea! I have some stuff I will be taking there!

  • Broken coffeemaker - Maybe freecycle? Someone snatching it probably depends on what is broken.

Old bras--not worn out ones, but ones I used to wear pre-baby.. - goodwill, salvation army, [enter thrift store of choice here]. They take bras as long as they're washed and in good condition. The PP had a good idea with a women's shelter as well.

Old 90s style Coach purses I no longer use - goodwill, salvation army, [enter thrift store of choice here]. If you want to make some money back from them, sell them at a consignment store or on ebay. Not everyone cares if they're an old Coach style. Some people just want a new purse.

  • Thanks everyone!  I am so tired of hanging on to these things, so I will try a few of these ideas!  I had totally forgotten about freecycle.
  • In my area there is an abundance of Coach purses on Craigslist. Not to say they are all authentic.... I had 5 purses and 4 wallets that I wanted to sell. They were all from Macys, super clean, odor free and with the origninal dust covers. I think I made about $100 and all I have left is 1 wallet and 2 purses. People are not willing to pay much for them, and while $100 is certainly better than them just sitting unused in my closet, just a warning... most people will really low ball you!
